Decorating My Dorm Room

I've had pretty good luck so far with room selection at college. During my freshman year, I was in David Kemp Hall, which everyone called the 'bougie freshman dorm,' and I received a lot of jealous glances from people in Willets (the all-freshman dorm that can get pretty interesting at times).
In my sophomore year, I was in Mary Lyons. This was a mixed-bag experience, as the walk from the dorm to the main campus took around 25 minutes, and the shuttle was so unreliable that it was better to start walking rather than waiting for it to arrive. However, my room itself was still very nice. It was huge for a double, and my roommate moved out halfway through the spring semester, leaving me with a huge dingle (double-turned-single).
But I was ecstatic when I selected into Hallowell, a dorm that's not a lot of people's first choice, but it definitely was for me. That ML 25-minute walk was shortened to just a 5-7 minute walk to anywhere on the main campus. I was closer to the dining hall and the gym, but not so central that I felt trapped.
And best of all, I have a bay window. A bay window was my super wish since I was a kid. Apartments in Korea don't typically have those (for safety reasons, probably, since our apartments can reach up to 30 floors). I would put my toy chest in front of the big window to mimic the feel of a bay window.
Hallowell's bay window would look out onto the forest, which is another big plus for me. I love a good view! Since this room is a single, I have been conjuring up floor plans and decoration plans ever since I selected it.
I wanted to go for a 'vintage & retro theme' while still keeping the natural aesthetics that I love. This would include picture frames, a vintage-looking speaker, some nice wall decorations, fairy lights, and more. It took me a little too much time, effort, and money to make all of this come true, but I'm very happy with the outcome. I even went the extra mile to order a custom-sized seat cushion for my bay window. It honestly looked pretty dull when I first moved in, but now it looks like an absolute fairytale (if I do say so myself).
