This summer, I decided not to go to CTY. There wasn't really a reason for that -- I just wanted to prepare myself for Year 10. But I did sway a bit with my decision, but in the end, I wasn't on the plane to CTY.
Still, I was upset for a while after talking to Serena. She was in CTY, spending the time of her life while I was just living the same life I always did. I was so down, that I couldn't listen to some of the songs I heard in CTY without tearing up because it reminded me of camp.
But I decided to make the best of it! I spent my days drawing, writing, and taking a look at what I'll be learning in Year 10. And on the bright side, my mum arranged a trip to England! (our family tries to visit a new country every year)
I've definitely learnt that there are no regrets in life, just lessons.
