How To Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World is out in the theatres and I got to watch it the day it was released in Korea!
I'll make the summary simple. In the third movie of the How To Train Your Dragon series, Hiccup carries out the duties of being chief of Berk. He has his worries and doubts, but that only increases when a cunning, manipulative dragon hunter/killer claims to take all the dragons in Berk.
Hiccup, while on his journey to defeating this madman, finds a place where dragons can be safely hidden until the right time comes: The Hidden World. Toothless finds true love with a Light Fury and is at a crossroad between maintaining the world of Dragons as King, or to stay by Hiccup, his best friend.
When I watched the first movie, I was 8 years old. I actually had the DVD of the movie (I hated going to the cinemas when I was younger) for a year, but I had been too scared of dragons to watch it. But when I did, I regretted not giving it a shot the second I bought it.
I was quite invested in the series when the second movie came out, so I clearly remember the day I watched it (Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014). I had never seen an animated movie where a **spoiler** main character dies (like, actually dies -- no dramatic resurrections), and I was so shocked. After the movie, I was a total fan of it.
And came the third and last movie in the trilogy. I couldn't believe that my childhood movie was coming to an end. I had so many mixed emotions about this movie. I also could not help but cry when ***spoilers (kind of) again*** Toothless and Hiccup said their last farewell. It was as if I was saying goodbye to my childhood. But nonetheless, the movie, the soundtrack, the characters were all amazing. Thank you, How To Train Your Dragon!
